01 / THE BRIGHT SIDEPLACES TO STAY / MYRTLE BEACH

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA

From first light
to bright lights.

Begin on the sand, then follow the day wherever it goes. Myrtle Beach pairs a lively oceanfront with a quiet state park and plenty to do after sunset.

THE PRACTICAL SIDE / MYRTLE BEACH

Know before you go.

Choose Myrtle Beach when you want the Boardwalk, oceanfront attractions, and a beach day within the same part of town. Check each rental’s actual beach access and parking arrangements before you book.

01GET TO THE SAND

Find your beach access.

Use South Carolina’s public beach access map to locate an entry point near your rental. An ocean view does not always mean direct beach access.

02PLAN THE PARKING

Check the meter before you go.

The city has metered beach access and street parking, with rules that vary by location. Check the current visitor parking guide and posted signs before leaving the car.

03CHANGE THE PACE

Make a state park day of it.

Myrtle Beach State Park has a beach, maritime forest, and fishing pier. Its parking is first-come and can fill on busy days; check current alerts, hours, and admission before setting out.

THE LOCAL DAYBOOK / MYRTLE BEACH

A day worth making your own.

The oceanfront is only one version of Myrtle Beach. Pick the kind of day your group wants, then check the details at the places you choose.

01FOR A SLOWER START

Take the forest path to the sea.

Myrtle Beach State Park puts a maritime forest trail, fishing pier, and beach in one park. It charges admission and can be busy on summer weekends. Look at the park’s current alerts before you set out, especially if the pier or a particular trail matters to you.

02FOR THE BRIGHTER HOURS

Choose your kind of lights.

The oceanfront Boardwalk and Broadway at the Beach are separate destinations. The Boardwalk is for a walk by the water, arcades, and the SkyWheel; Broadway groups shops, dining, and attractions around a lake. Check individual venue hours before you go.

These are area ideas, not amenities or walking-distance promises for a particular stay. Confirm the route from the rental address and recheck official hours, admission, and access before visiting.
