North Myrtle Beach is made of neighborhoods with different characters. A rental in Cherry Grove, Ocean Drive, or near the waterway can shape a very different afternoon.

01FOR PIER & MARSH

Follow Cherry Grove inland.

Cherry Grove brings the ocean, pier, and tidal marsh together. The city’s Heritage Shores Nature Preserve has an interpretive path and elevated walks into the marsh; its listed parking is a walk from the preserve entrance. Check the city page for directions before making it your outing.

Ocean Drive’s Main Street is tied to beach music and the Carolina Shag. Barefoot Landing is a different stop along the Intracoastal Waterway for dining and entertainment. Map the trip from your rental and check a venue’s own hours; neither is a stand-in for beach access.
